SARAJEVO, Bosnia (16 July,2008) - The value traded on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) in the first six months of this year was 150,448,163 Bosnian Marks and accounted for 49.30 per cent of the total value traded on the Bosnian capital market.
A total of 7,804,331 shares changed hands in 22,444 transactions. The biggest value traded on the Official Market (10.98 per cent of the turnover) in this period was with the share of drug maker Bosnalijek: 11,111,277.50 Bosnian Marks. Insurer Sarajevo Osiguranje was second with 4,828,506.80 Bosnian Marks.
On the Free Market (share of 75.45 per cent), Sarajevo tobacco factory FDS (Fabrika Duhana Sarajevo) saw its share traded for total 10,704,258.04. The main index of the SASE – SASX-10 lost 37.94 per cent in the six months (from 3,685.15 to 2,286.87 points).
