SARAJEVO, Bosnia (April 30,2008) – Students of the National University for Defence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are in a several-days’ visit to Bosnia.
Marina Pendes, the Bosnian Deputy Minister of Defence and Major General Slavko Pujic,the Deputy Commander of the Bosnian Army welcomed the guests.
They presented the guests from Pakistan to the past results achieved in the sector of the Bosnian defence reform, as well as to the activities and plans of the Bosnian Defence Ministry and the Bosnian Armed Forces aimed to improve the NATO association processes.
Bosnian officials expressed gratitude to the Pakistani guests for assistance offered to the Bosnian Armed Forces in the process of personnel training.
A briefing was organized on defence and security policy, as well as a briefing on the Bosnian defence system structure.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Bosnia Jauhar Saleem attended the presentation.In the days to come, the Pakistan guests will visit other Bosnian state ministries and institutions.
