BOSNIA AND SLOVAKIA TO IMPROVE BUSINESS TIES

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (June 2,2008) - Bosnia's Prime Minister Nikola Spiric and his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico signed today in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo an agreement on boosting economic cooperation between the two countries. Spiric and Fico also signed a document on improving and protecting investments between Bosnia and Slovakia.

The documents signed in Sarajevo should help intensify business cooperation.

Slovakia's Premier Fico also expressed Slovakia's support for Bosnia's progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

European Union member Slovakia, Fico told reporters, is ready to share with Bosnia its positive and negative experiences of progress towards EU membership.

During his one-day-official visit to Bosnia Fico was also to meet with members of Bosnia's tripartite state presidency, as well as with the International Community's High Representative and EU Special Representative in Bosnia, Slovak diplomat Miroslav Lajcak.
