ITALIANS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPA AND HEALTH TOURISM IN BOSNIA

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (March 31,2008) – The Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Samir Silajdzic met with Italian delegation led by Maria Rosaria Marineri, Senator and Minister of Tourism of Lecce province and discussed about participation of Bosnia at the first international fair of spa tourism which is to be held in June in Italy.

Bosnia along with countries of the region is part of the project of the development of spa and health tourism worth 348.000 Euros, financed by the EU and country host of the project, Italy and its region Lecce.

Guests from Italy did not hide their good impressions after visiting Fojnica, spa health center, and Fojnica convent.

"This country, Sarajevo and Fojnica as well as other parts are regions of strong identity and wealth of typical and authentic products. This should be presented in your tourist offer and we hope that we will jointly present your tourism at the fair in June in Italy. I was especially impressed by the cultural and historical heritage which will be interesting for tourists around the world”, stated Maria Rosaria Marineri.
