OHR EXPECTS CONCRETE STEPS ON IMPLEMENTATION OF MOSTAR DECLARATION

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (November 19,2007) – The Office of the International Community's High Representative in Bosnia (OHR) now expects concrete steps on the implementation of the Mostar Declaration, OHR spokesperson Ljiljana Radetic said when asked to comment on the meeting of the leaders of six leading political parties in Bosnia that will be hosted by the SBIH Party in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo on November 22.

She reminded that OHR welcomed the Mostar Declaration.

“Even though it was not enough for initialling the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Bosnia and the European Union, it still represents a positive basis from which is it possible to move forward. OHR thinks that there is no alternative to the path of Bosnia towards the EU membership”, Radetic said.
