BRUSSELS, Belgium (May 20,2008) - The European Union (EU) is willing to give Bosnia a privileged position in relation to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), it was announced yesterday by the Slovenian Presidency of the EU.
Within two weeks after the SAA signing between Bosnia and the EU (in Luxembourg on June 16), the SAA’s provisions about trade will become effective.
However, in order for that to happen, the EU expects a clear signal from Bosnia that institutions at all levels are ready to make certain commitments, and implement all previous international agreements.
