BOSNIAN GOVERNMENT'S NATO COORDINATION TEAM HELD A SESSION

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (January 8,2008) – The Bosnian Government's NATO Coordination Team discussed in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo development of Presentation document of Induvidual Partner Action Plan (IPAP). Information on the current situation in the sector of implementation of agreement on security signed with NATO was discussed.The Team also discussed the issues related to implementation of the the Partnership for Peace Status of Forces Agreement (PFP SOFA) and information on the visit of the team members to Estonia.

Proposal of the IPAP Presentation Document is in the final stages of development and will be submitted to the Bosnian Council of Ministers and the Bosnian Presidency by February 2008 for adoption, in order for it to become operative by NATO summit which will be held in Bucharest, from April 2 to 4.

IPAP is the most comprehensive and the most important document Bosnia has so far worked on.

Apart from the obligations the country has in the defence and military sectors, IPAP treats other political and security issues, as well as topics related to civil planning in crisis situations, scinece, ecology, public relations and other.

In relation to the PFP SOFA, the coordination Team will propose the Bosnian government that this agreement is implemented through a special law, the Bosnian Defence Ministry announced.

FBIH ENTITY GOVERNMENT NOMINATED AGROKOMERC'S SUPERVISORY BOARD

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (January 8,2008) – The FBIH entity government has nominated the Agrokomerc Company’s Supervisory Board. In that way, jurisdiction over the company is now transfered to the Una – Sana Canton.

The FBIH Entity Ministry of Agriculutre, Water Management and Forestry emphaiszed that the Agrokomerc Supervisory Board dismissed at the December 4 session in Bihac Mujo Milak, director of the company. On the continuation of the session held December 11 and 12, the decision was comfirmed.

At the session of stockholders held December 28,2007, resignation was accepted and the temporary supervisory board was nominated for the period of 60 days.

Sefik Stulanovic was nominated President of Supervisory Board.Temporary supervisory Board will nominate the company’s acting director.

HNC POLICE COMMISSIONER DRAGAN BRKIC TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

MOSTAR, Bosnia (January 8,2008) – The government of the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) adopted a decision on temporary suspension of Dragan Brkic, acting Police Commissioner of the HNC. Decision on his suspension will remain in force until the trial against him at the Bosnian State Court ends.

Brkic is one of 11 high-ranking officials of the HNC government against whom the Bosnian Prosecutor’s Office filed indictment for abuse of office or official authority.

The indictment concerns illegal payment of salaries to 171 employees and to a member of the FBIH Assembly, donations of vehicles, illegal purchase of vehicles and uniforms, illegal granting of loans, illegal usage of a private security company and illegal administering of the Ministry of Interior and its personnel.
