SARAJEVO, Bosnia (March 1,2008) – On the basis of arrest warrant issued by the Bosnian State Prosecutor’s Office, Serbian war criminal Jovan Ostojic (53), suspected of crimes against humanity, was arrested in the northern Bosnian cit of Banja Luka on Thrusday, Boris Grubesic, the Bosnian State Prosecutor’s Office Spokesperson said.
Serbian war criminal Jovan Ostojic has been suspected of war crimes committed against Bosnian civilians in the Bosanska Krupa area in 1992,during the Serbian aggression against Bosnia.
The suspect will be extradited to the Bosnian State Prosecutor’s Office in the legal time frame and will be submitted to the Bosnian State Court for determining detention measures.
Serbian war criminal Jovan Ostojic was arrested by members of War Crimes Investigation Centre, the Banja Luka Office, in cooperation with the Bosnian State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
