BOSNIA TO SIGN ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT WITH EUROPEAN UNION NEXT MONTH

SARAJEVO, Bosnia (January 4,2008) - It is very likely for Bosnia to sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union in February,some Bosnian media outlets have reported.

Citing sources close to the international community, the media underline that although EU is aware that Bosnia has not met all the necessary criteria, the Union is prepared to "turn a blind eye".

The signing of the Agreement would force Bosnia's political leaders in a situation to put aside their personal and partisan interests; moreover, it could prevent creating of a new political crisis in Bosnia.
