SARAJEVO, Bosnia (September 12,2008) - Despite growing living costs,car sales in Bosnia are increasing.In the first six months of 2008, 7,458 new cars were sold in Bosnia, which was by 22.3 per cent more compared to the same period of 2007.
The Volkswagen Audi Group accounted for a biggest share of care sales, and Skoda cars were the most popular (among them, Skoda Fabia), accounting for 20.5 per cent of all cars sold in Bosnia in the first half of 2008.

VOLKSWAGEN CHANGES STRATEGY IN BOSNIA
SARAJEVO, Bosnia (July 18,2008) - During a visit by the Sarajevo Canton Economy Minister, the management of Volkswagen Sarajevo in the Vogosca economic zone announced a change in their strategic focus after the Stabilisation and Assocition Agreement (SAA) signing between Bosnia and the EU.
Volkswagen wants to continue investing in the Bosnian manufacturing capacities and new jobs. By 2009, German company plans to expand the production of sophisticated automobile components in Bosnia, and explore the possibility of manufacturing one of VW models, technical director Uwe Bischoff announced. VW Sarajevo manufactures around 5,000 cars a year, for the local market.
