SARAJEVO, Bosnia (September 8,2008) - The Bosnian business magazine Poslovne novine has issued a ranking list of Bosnia’s 100 leading companies, as it has done once a year for the past 35 years. Four criteria were considered in creating the list: the companies’ total revenues, foreign sales, net profit and investments in the previous year.
Based on the data submitted by companies, separate lists were created with rankings for the top 25 exporters, top 25 investors and top 25 highest net profits.
On the list of exporters, Mostar aluminium producer Aluminij leads with reported foreign sales of 501,717,778 Bosnian Marks (366,170,315 US Dollars). Zenica Arcelor Mittal follows with 363,156,154 Bosnian Marks (265,043,435 US Dollars) and Sarajevo ASA Prevent Grupacija is third with 245,479,818 Bosnian Marks (179,159,333 US Dollars).

BOSNIAN METAL INDUSTRY INCREASES EXPORTS BY 14 PER CENT
SARAJEVO, Bosnia (February 20,2008) - The Bosnian metal industry increased exports by 14 per cent last year. The industry’s exports totalled 3,078,959,479 Bosnian Marks (2,306,554,386 US Dollars), and accounted for 50 per cent of the country’s overall exports in 2007.
Aluminij Mostar, Mittal Steel Zenica, Global Ispat, VW, Prevent and TMD-AI remain the leading exporters, in the sector and in overall export ranking. In a regional breakdown, the regions that have the lead in exports are Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj areas. The main trade partners of the metal sector are Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Austria.
