SARAJEVO, Bosnia (June 12,2008) – The Mayor of Dayton Rhine Mclin ended her two-day visit to the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, Dayton’s sister city.During the visit she held talks about the exchange of students and the necessity for the both cities to get involved into these activities, and especially to ensure the premises where students could meet and discuss during the exchange.
„We are expecting this programme to start during this year“, said the Mayor of Sarajevo Semiha Borovac,after the meeting.
"I have noticed great positive changes in this city“, said Mayor McLin. This has been her second visit to Sarajevo after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement that ended 1992-1995 Serbian,Montenegrin and Croatian aggressions against Bosnia.
Dayton and Sarajevo agreed to make exchange of visits once a year.A delegation of the City of Sarajevo will visit Dayton at the beginning of the next year.
