KIEV, Ukraine (May,19,2008) - The Bosnian Foreign Affairs Minister Sven Alkalaj has announced in Kiev,Ukraine, where the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Annual Meeting and Business Forum is taking place, that Bosnia could get EUR 250 million Euros from the EBRD by 2011, which would be the highest per-capita sum ever given to a country by this bank.
Minister Alkalaj said that 180 million Euros of that money is expected this year, for the construction of the Vc Corridor. EBRD’s Board of Governors is expected to make a decision in November.
The remaining 70 million Euros will be invested in the banking system and the energy sector, the Bosnian Foreign Affairs Minister Sven Alkalaj said.
