SARAJEVO, Bosnia (March 22,2008) - The Bosnian State Statistics Agency has announced that Bosnia’s trade exchange in February 2008 amounted to 1,849,300,000 Bosnian Marks. Exported goods accounted for 545.6 million Bosnian Marks of that (29.5 per cent), while imports amounted to 1,303,700,000 Bosnian Marks (70.5 per cent), resulting in a trade exchange ratio of 70.5 per cent.
In the first two months there was a 19.7 per cent increase in export, to 1,031,500,000 Bosnian Marks, but import at the same grew by 33.7 per cent to 2,305,000,000 Bosnian Marks, compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit amounted to 1,273,500,000 Bosnian Marks.
Croatia was the main trading partner in the first two months (16.4 per cent of Bosnia’s export and 15.8 per cent of import).
