SARAJEVO, Bosnia (February 18,2008) – As part of its information campaign on Bosnia's EU integration, the Office of the High Representative and EU Special Representative in Bosnia (OHR/EUSR) launched a new website and an image competition.
The website http://www.reci.ba provides up-to-date information on the campaign and lets the Bosnian citizens voice their opinions and concrete suggestions. Online comments can be left as text or video. Citizens will also be able to register via the Internet for any of the 16 public debates planned across Bosnia.
The theme of the image competition is “Bosnia and the European Union”. Images should show a unique, fresh and powerful statement or expression of the benefits of Bosnia's membership in the European Union.
The author of the first-ranked work will be awarded 999 Bosnian Marks. The second- and third ranked works will receive 666 Bosnian Marks and 333 Bosnian Marks respectively. The winning images will also be printed on posters, flyers and adverts to promote OHR/EUSR campaigns.
The deadline for entering the competition is 15 April 2008. The competition is open to all Bosnian citizens.
