BRUSSELS, Belgium (January 11,2008) – The EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn announced yesterday that the leaders of six most influential political parties in Bosnia would soon be invited to an informal meeting in Brussels.
Although the letter he sent recently to them reads how the purpose of the meeting would be to reach “a better understanding, and continue the dialogue on issues relevant to the topic of Bosnia’s integration with the EU”, sources claim that the issue of constitutional changes would be opened, as well.
This has been confirmed by HDZ 1990 leader Bozo Ljubic, who said that there is no exact date of the meeting yet, but he expects it in February. According to him, Rehn will probably make it clear to Bosnia's political leaders that a Bosnian constitutional reform is a must in the process of Bosnia's integration with the EU.
